Sean David Palacios, MD is a neuro-otologic surgeon who treats disorders of the ear, hearing and balance, and tumors which affect the skull base.

Dr. Palacios is fellowship trained in Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery and Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Palacios has clinical expertise in the fields of otology, neurotology and skull base surgery. He is practiced in the evaluation and medical/surgical treatment of problems related to the ear, including exostosis (“surfer’s ear”), tympanic membrane perforations, ossicular chain problems, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, sudden hearing loss, single-sided deafness, Ménière’s disease, pituatary tumors, gamma knife, and acoustic neuromas.

Dr. Palacios was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. After completing his undergraduate training at the Universtiy of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) he went on to achieve his doctorate degree in medicine from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Palacios obtained a grant from the National Institutes of Health to conduct research at the University of California, San Diego in the area of cellular and molecular biology of the middle and inner ear. Upon completion of his research he underwent a year of general surgery internship training at the University of California, San Francisco-East Bay and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Palacios stayed at UCSD to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery followed by a two year fellowship in Otology,Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery.

Dr. Palacios has returned home to Las Vegas to establish his practice and provide outstanding surgical services to the Las Vegas community. It is his goal to build a center for excellence in treatment of the most complex diseases of the ear and neurotologic system.
